In Days, Not Weeks, I Could Go On Living.
A month before my wedding, I found a lump in my breast. I was so scared, and just kept thinking, “this can’t be happening to me.” Knowing time was of the essence, I made an appointment with the Saint Agnes Breast Center, which my doctor recommended. My fiancee stood by my side during the whole experience, ready to face the results no matter what they were. At the Breast Center, they told me that just because I found a lump, it didn’t necessarily mean I had breast cancer. Within a week of my biopsy, I received a phone call from my physician telling me my results were negative. I felt so blessed and such a sense of joy when I found out I was going to be fine. Even after I had the test results, the Saint Agnes staff continued to follow up with me, making sure I was healthy. Because they acted so quickly, I was able enjoy my wedding day.
