When my doctor discovered a lump, I was full of questions. What’s going to happen? Will I have a scar? What if my breast needs to be removed? Should I tell my son? I had a lot of concerns, and also I didn’t want my family to worry about me, especially if there was nothing to worry about. My doctor told me that the Saint Agnes Breast Center was my best option for a biopsy. At Saint Agnes, my doctors and nurses instinctually knew all of my questions and calmed all of my fears. I could anticipate each moment of the biopsy. The confidence the Saint Agnes staff gave me throughout the experience was outstanding. Before I knew it, my test results came back negative. I never knew that 80% of all biopsies are benign. I was elated. I could get back to being a mom and stop worrying.
